Is it the bull or the bear...

Is it the bull or bear market?...

This is the most common question that comes to anybody's mind who is a part of Indian stock market. I also had same doubt and so I tried to analyse all the facts and situation and came up with idea to share my thoughts.

The rupee is tumbling,  oil is again rising,  gold getting weaker,  European market still reeling under a economic slowdown,  us markets don't show any recovery... To name a few.
As per my purview if you are a trader then it is a bear market. So take your picks with outmost care.

If you are a short term trader then it is a bear market for next 3-4 months view. If you can invest for a period of an year or above then it will be a bull market with slow recovery.

If you are a long term investor( 3 to 10 years horizon) then the india growth story it's still intact. You can invest about 10% of your surplus capital in current market in midcap stocks of good quality.

Midcap quality pharma and I.T companies are good bet for long term as their valuations looks a bit attractive now. Consumption space is also a good space for investment if you could get fair valuations there, though it's hard to find one.

Housing finance also looks great from long term perspective. Even the complete NBFC space looks attractive whether it's housing finance, microfinance or cv finance.
Avoid real state, infra, power, metals and auto sectors.

So if you are a long term investor then don't worry and keep investing in india growth story.
